Design and Development Process

Let’s get in touch and start working on your project!

The Brief

Marginally the most important phase of our time together. Here we’ll ask the right questions to uncover the (sometimes hidden) truth about why you need a new website. Together we will find out exactly what it is you’re trying to achieve. It’s true some of these questions may seem a little uncomfortable, but if it doesn’t get a little awkward, then chances are we are not digging deep enough.

The Sitemap

Once we have all the information we need, we’ll build a visual sitemap so we can all get on the same page about your new website. We will see what it is you’re trying to communicate and the best way to structure the information for your potential customers.

The Prototype

Now we know a sitemap doesn’t look like much. That’s where the prototype comes in. Instead of trying to tell you what we intend to build and hoping you understand our jargon, we will build an interactive prototype (a stripped down website) in the browser to show you how our solution will work. We will pay no attention to design. It’s not pretty, but it gets us close really quickly.

The Design & Build

The design is where things get fun. The design stage is exciting because we get to play with the colors, imagery, and emotion. By applying our creative process, we get to bring your interactive prototype to life, all the while ensuring that our design matches your brand identity and tone of voice.

The Delivery

Delivery is where the rubber meets the road. After we approve the design, we will go underground for several weeks to make sure everything works smoothly and tested before deploying your new completed website to your hosting server so you can show it off and start promoting.

Support

Why go it alone? Unlike major WYSIWYG website builders who give you tons of tools but no help with us, you get to speak to an actual person here at Hoye Web Consulting. Our staff is here to help you with support by email, and by phone.
